FAQs

Do we need to bring bedding?

Duvets, pillows and bed linen are provided. You will also need to bring your own towels. If you forget anything then ask the duty staff member on arrival and you will probably be able to borrow items for the duration of your stay.

Does the Centre provide an activity programme?

In addition to the games room the Centre also provides some activities on site as well as playing space for various outdoor games. Activities provided (at no extra cost) can include: Nightline, campfires, team challenges and treasure hunts.

There is an outdoor games box available to our guests containing equipment for football, rugby, rounders and parachute games (£10 refundable deposit required).

For those wishing to explore the outdoors, the Mourne Mountains and Kilbroney Park are just at the end of the grounds and Carlingford Lough is a short walk away. Outdoor activities can be booked by contacting local outdoor providers independently.

Is there assistance for catering?

Both kitchens are well equipped but the main one is ideal for catering for large groups and includes large ovens, cooker, fridge and freezers, industrial dishwasher and a heated servery.

Sample menus can be provided and fresh food (such as lasagnas) can be ordered locally. The warden on site can provide assistance with the operation of the kitchen.

Will there be mobile phone and wi-fi access?

There is wi-fi access in both buildings and phone reception is generally good but depends on your provider.

Is the Centre locked at night?

The main outside doors are locked. A duty member of staff can be contacted by phone in the event of an emergency during the night.

The Kilbroney Christian Residential Centre is a Christian run organisation - what does that mean?

The Centre was set up to provide people of all ages with the opportunity to experience the beauty the area within a healthy Christian environment. Each member of staff is a committed Christian - we hope that our beliefs will be reflected in the way that you and your group are cared for during your stay.
